Associate Professor Margot Davey

Associate Professor Margot Davey trained at Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne and then completed a Paediatric Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard University where she trained in Paediatric Sleep Medicine.  She is the Director of the Melbourne Children’s Sleep Centre (MCSC) at Monash Children’s Hospital, which she helped establish in 2003.  In that position she has built a strategic clinical and scientific partnership with Monash University. This collaboration has led to the establishment of a wide research program within the MCSC including both infant and child sleep research projects.  Current research interests include the diagnosis and treatment of obstructive sleep apnoea in children and the management of sleep disorders in children with neurodevelopmental disability. 

She has had extensive clinical experience in the management of all sleep disorders in children over the last 30 years.  She has mentored many Australian and international sleep medicine specialists in training and continues to be involved in medical education. 

She is a member of the Australasian Sleep Association and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
